Code Secure. Lead the Future: Women in Cybersecurity
We code securely, for the future of Aotearoa.
See you in

About this event
She Sharp is back at Xero with Secure Code Warrior for a second Code Secure evening — and this one is built around the part everybody asked for more of: the tournament, and the people.
You will take on real vulnerable code in a live secure-coding tournament, find the flaw, and fix it, against a leaderboard and a clock. No cybersecurity background is assumed. There is a beginner-friendly option alongside the mainstream languages, so the challenge meets you where you are rather than the other way round.
Around it, you will hear from women who work in application security about how they actually got there — which, for most of them, was not a straight line from a computer science degree. Bring a laptop and a charger.
What You'll Do
Take on real vulnerable code in a 45-minute live tournament — find the flaw, fix it, watch the leaderboard
Start from wherever you are: a beginner-friendly option sits alongside the mainstream languages
Hear how women already working in application security found their way in, and what they would tell you to do next
Meet the Xero and Secure Code Warrior teams, and the rest of the room
Before You Come
Bring a laptop and a charger — the tournament runs on your own machine
No cybersecurity experience is needed, and no preparation is required
