After studying Biological Sciences at university, Micayla had never dreamed of pursuing a career in software but was presented with an opportunity in the tech industry. From IT helpdesk to Tech Lead, Micayla's career in software engineering has spanned IT management, DevOps engineering, and technical leadership. She finds herself eight years later, evolved from supporting users to currently leading a feature team to drive technical vision and solutions.

Before getting into product, Liz has had a varied career across digital marketing, events management, project management, digital production and eCommerce. Originally from Auckland, she has worked in London and Melbourne, and enjoys the variety that comes with working for a global company. Liz graduated with a BA/BCom in Communications and Marketing from Otago University with no plans to work in digital or tech, but is still loving it after more than 15 years in the industry.

Effy likes to describe working in digital product as ‘advanced cat herding’! While she holds degrees in mechanical engineering and psychology, Effy has chosen to flex her career into a variety of different spaces in the tech industry; from web dev to account management, UX design to team leadership. She prides herself on being a jack of all trades, and on finding creative yet simple solutions to the right problems.

Macy has been working in the industry for 9 years, from university to her current job. Her career path has been quite straightforward, including working in front-end and full-stack engineering, but she also loves to do project management work, and help in product delivery. Her advice is to be a tech person, she always thinks tech is used to serve the business. There are no ‘female’ developers, we are all developers!

Rebecca's career has stumbled around the world in various industries and roles, consistently gravitated around CRM & Salesforce. Starting with a degree in Computing and Management she has been using 'some' of these skills to bridge the gap between business process and systems since. Originally from the UK but now calling Auckland home she has worked globally in roles such as Data Analytics, Functional Consultant, Deployment Lead, QA and Project Management, before landing in a combination of them all with her current Platform role at LMI!

Jess currently has six years of professional working experience. She started off as a software engineer before venturing into data engineering from a Computer Science and Information Systems background.

Jess has worked in various industries namely Orion Health which is a digital healthcare company and Trade Me, New Zealand’s largest e-commerce site. The data landscape has never been more interesting and Jess is loving her current role to rebuild Les Mills’ data platform.

Ramya brings over 11 years of extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Test Management, characterized by a customer-centric approach. Her career journey has followed a clear path within the technology sector, starting in India before relocating to New Zealand seven years ago. Initially drawn by a desire for travel, however Ramya found herself deeply connected to Auckland, now considering it her home.

Over the years, she has developed a passion for product development and delivery, leading in her recent transition to the role of Delivery Lead.
