May Recap πŸ“

A word from Mahsa…

🌟 Kia ora  <<First Name>> 🌟

May has been a month of bold conversations, new perspectives, and continued global impact. As I near the end of my Fulbright journey in the United States, I’ve been reflecting on the power of community and storytelling to ignite changeβ€”especially in spaces where representation and innovation intersect.

At the IEEE Women in Engineering Leadership Conference in San Jose, I joined powerful conversations on how AI is transforming both engineering and leadership. We explored resilience, empathy, and inclusive innovationβ€”reminding us that real impact comes from building solutions with people, not just for them.

In Charlotte, I spoke at a Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) eventβ€”an energizing evening of honest questions, bold ideas, and shared purpose. From imposter syndrome to ethical AI, one theme stood out: you don’t need to be an expert to leadβ€”just curious and courageous enough to begin.

And finally, She Sharp joined forces with MYOB to host β€œTech That Matches Your Vibe” in Aucklandβ€”a heartfelt night of storytelling and self-discovery. Our incredible speakers reminded us that our so-called β€œweaknesses” are often hidden strengths, and that every tech journey is uniquely valid. We were reminded that diversity isn’t just a valueβ€”it’s a superpower for high-performing teams.

Across all these moments, one theme emerged again and again: authentic connection fuels innovation. Whether you’re mentoring a young technologist, shifting careers, or leading with empathy, your story has power. Let’s keep creating space for voices that matter, embracing growth, and redefining leadership together.
